Blue Swirl Bowl Top Gold Cone Resin Side Table, 56cm, with a deep blue swirled bowl top on a ridged gold cone base, shown against a plain light grey background.
Blue Swirl Bowl Top Gold Cone Resin Side Table - 56cm $4,05000
Description

A deep round bowl in dark blue resin, swirled through with paler blue in loose bands like weather seen from above, sits on a flaring gold cone base that is ridged the whole way round in fine close rings. Its top is a flat, level disc that reads almost black at the rim and opens to a lit blue across the middle.

A Bowl of Blue Over a Coiled Gold Cone

The bowl is cast thick and turned true, then polished across its flat top and round its curved underside, and the swirl runs through the whole depth of the resin: a chipped rim would show the same banding inside. The cone is ridged on a former so the rings hold their pitch as the diameter grows, which is the difficult part, because a ring that opens up as the cone flares shows at once against its neighbours. The gold is applied to the finished cone and the joint between bowl and base is taken back until nothing reads as a line.

At 56cm it sits beside an armchair or at a sofa end, and its flat, level top takes a glass or a book without any tilt. The gold cone wants light from the side, which is what lifts the ridges, and under a downlight they flatten into one tone. It is heavy for its footprint, so a hard floor suits it better than a deep pile.

The Swirl, the Ridges, and Where to Stand It

Where the piece is standard the build is 3–4 weeks, and where it is bespoke 5–6. Ordering settles three things. Another shade can replace the blue, the cone comes in a darker finish as well, and the flat top can be cast with a shallow dish instead. Bowl diameter and overall height are each specified. Order more than one together and the swirl in the blue bowl is matched across them. Crated with the bowl rim and the ridged cone protected, it is a two-person lift. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

The ridged gold cone sets this table beside our fibreglass sculptures; it serves a chair as one of the side tables in our art furniture, and the swirled bowl joins our organic sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
