Two blue resin birds rise one over the other above a marble block: the upper bird stretches its neck with its beak pointing straight up, and the bird beneath rests its body on the block. Both birds carry their wings at full spread and each wing is scored with fine diagonal combing that follows the line of the feather. The blue is strongest through the two bodies and clears at the wing tips. This is one sculpture rather than a pair sold together, and it comes standing on black marble.
Two birds on one block becomes a composition problem the moment both pairs of wings are open. Set them side by side at the same height and they read as a mirrored pair, which turns the piece into symmetrical furniture. Here one is lifted clear above the other and set off to one side of it, so the four wings overlap without touching and the group has a top and a bottom. The combing is what keeps that overlap from becoming confusion: each wing is scored along the line of its own feather, so where two cross, the two sets of lines run at different angles and stay separable. On an unworked wing the same overlap would be one flat area.
A desk, a console or a wide shelf takes it, and it needs clearance on both sides for the spread rather than depth. A source behind it turns the combing into a set of fine bright lines, which a front light flattens completely. A plain wall behind holds the outline where a busy one breaks it up. One bird is set above the other rather than beside it, which is what makes the two a single composition instead of two copies on one block.
Expect 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks where the commission is bespoke. The blue can be graded from the wing tips instead of from the body, or deepened through both birds. The block can be made in another stone or shape, and the birds are cast at other wingspans on the same pose. A single bird on the same block is made where the arrangement is too busy for the setting, and it is a much simpler thing to place. The combing is cut finer or left off the underside of the wings. It travels in one crate, and it is lifted by the marble block alone, never by a wing or the upturned neck. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Two on one block makes it indoor sculpture at desk scale; wings spread to full span are contemporary sculpture; and the blue thins toward the tips in resin sculpture.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
