This cast resin sculpture is a column of blue water standing in the spray it has just thrown, clear at the head and deepening all the way down. The spray sits at the foot as a shallow crown thrown out to the sides, and the column comes straight up out of the middle of it, twisting once as it rises and finishing in a cluster of slender, flame-like points of uneven height rather than one.
A column standing in a dish and a column growing out of spray are the same shape and completely different objects. The difference is one line: if there is a shoulder anywhere at the foot, the eye reads a stem in a bowl and the piece becomes a vessel with something in it. So the section changes continuously from the widest part of the spray to the narrowest part of the column, with nothing anywhere that could be called a joint, and the spray fingers are drawn as if they had been thrown off the column rather than arranged around it, which means they lean away from it at the angles they would if they had, and not at even intervals.
The spray reaches wider than the column and sits low, so measure the surface at the foot and not at the head. The column is narrow enough to sit almost anywhere; the spray is not, and it is the part that will be caught by a sleeve or a door. Somewhere it can stand with clear floor on every side suits it, and at 124cm with its base it works from the floor as readily as from a low surface. A lamp set low finds the foot first and lifts the blue where it is deepest; light from above lights the spray and leaves the head pale.
Ours is a 3–4 week build as standard, and a 5–6 week build when the commission is bespoke. The column leaves the spray without a shoulder anywhere, so the two have to read as one rise and not as a stem in a dish. The height is cut to order, the spread of the spray is set at order, and the blue runs to a green or a smoke grey. The head is drawn as a single point where the cluster is not wanted, and the base comes in this dark material or a pale stone. It ships upright in a braced case with the spray faced finger by finger, and it is set together on site by levelling the base and lowering the piece on by its column. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A blue column standing in its own crown of spray, clear at the head and deep blue at the foot, stands among our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
