Blue Spiral Flame Resin Sculpture - 67cm, a frosted blue spiral rising to a point from a curled resin base, shown on a plain white background.
Blue Spiral Flame Resin Sculpture - 67cm $2,09200
Description

The flame turns about itself as it rises from a curled foot cast with it, narrowing to a drawn point at the top. Frosted blue that gathers at the edges and thins across the faces between them. The curled foot is part of the flame itself, and nothing else is needed or supplied under it.

Colour Gathered at the Edges of a Frosted Spiral

Frosting a tinted body moves the colour to wherever two surfaces meet, and a spiral is nothing but meetings: every turn presents an edge to the room and the blue collects along it. The faces between those edges hold almost none at all, which is what keeps the shape legible from the other side of a room. Colour gathering at an edge rather than in a mass is the whole of this one: the body is frosted, so what the eye reads is where two surfaces meet and nothing in between. Frosted over the whole spiral, with the drawn point left as cast.

It wants a desk or a low cabinet, turned so the point leans into the room. A pale ground behind it: the blue is darkest exactly along the outline and it needs somewhere to end. Lit from the side the edges come forward; lit flat the whole piece goes to one tone. The spiral carries at a distance and the depth of the blue only shows close to.

A Longer Point, Another Blue, and One Crate

Standard pieces take 3–4 weeks and bespoke commissions 5–6. On request the point is drawn longer, the blue is exchanged, or the flame is made at another height. Draw the point longer and the body below is thickened, because a point that fine needs something under it to look intended. The foot can be curled tighter or left more open. One crate, and no part of it needs assembling. One person, both hands, and never a grip on the point. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A frosted blue flame spiralling from its own foot leads to our organic sculptures; the edged blue casting joins our resin sculptures, and it fits a small space among our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
