In this chair one continuous sheet of translucent blue resin sweeps up into a tall rounded back, down through the seat and up again at the front, so it stands on its own curves with no leg anywhere. Seen from the side, the chair is a single wave of colour. The price is for one chair.
The sheet is formed in one run, back through seat to front, with nothing to mark where one part becomes the next. The section has to stay even through both reversals of curve - that is what the schedule is spent on, because a sheet that thins at a turn will flex under a sitter. The blue is in the material and gathers where the curve deepens, so the back reads strongest and the seat clearest. Every face is polished, the underside included, because a chair standing on its own curves is looked under from across a room.
This is an occasional chair rather than a dining seat, at home in a hall, a bedroom or the corner of a room. The blue takes its depth from what is behind it, so a pale wall lets the whole sweep glow and a dark one turns it to a silhouette. It stands on its own curves across a broad footprint, which suits a soft floor.
Count on the difference between standard and bespoke: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. The single sweep is the slow part. Placing an order settles three choices. The blue is taken to another tint or dropped for a colourless sweep, the back can be brought up higher, and the front roll is drawn tighter. Seat depth and back height are settled at order. Batched together, the pieces are made so the depth of the blue through the sweep corresponds. Its crate is shaped round the back edge and the front roll, and four people lift it from there. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
One blue sheet swept from back to front gives our art furniture a seat that stands on its own curves; the sweep suits our organic sculptures, its tint our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
