Blue Sideways Branching Wave Resin Sculpture - 66cm, clear and blue resin wave with branching, antler-like tips on a black base, set against a plain white background.
Blue Sideways Branching Wave Resin Sculpture - 66cm $1,68600
Description

This blue wave sweeps sideways, low and long at one end and climbing steeply at the other, and both ends break into branching fingers of clear water. The long arm reaches out almost level and forks into a few short prongs at its tip, while the high end rises into a column of spray that is pierced near the top by an oval opening and branches like antlers. The blue sits deep in the trough between them, over the black block it stands on, and clears to colourless as the water climbs. Nothing about the piece is symmetrical and it is not meant to be.

Two Branching Ends Over a Deep Blue Trough

The piece is built on an uneven balance. One arm stays low and runs a long way out to the side, while the other end gathers itself into a column and climbs to the highest point, so the eye travels along the arm and then up. Colour follows the water: the blue is strongest in the trough, where the streams run together over the block, and it breaks into pale streaks as they part, leaving the fingers, the oval opening and the antler-like tips glassy and clear. Short branched fingers rise between the two ends, and every finger finishes in a rounded drop, as water does when it is thrown.

It points, so it should point into a room and not at a wall. Set it with the long arm reaching towards the open side and the tall column towards the corner, and it reads as movement across the surface; set the other way round it reads as an object that has fallen over. It wants a long stretch of surface but hardly any depth, which suits a console, a long shelf or the end of a dining sideboard, and its long arm stays low enough to sit in front of other things.

Bringing the Branching Back, and Delivery

It takes 3–4 weeks to make as standard, and 5–6 weeks to make bespoke. Both ends divide, one reaching low and the other climbing high, so the balance comes from two very different arms. The branching is drawn back towards the middle, the blue is run the whole way through, and the sweep is made to the other hand. A mirror-image piece is made where two are wanted facing one another, and the price quoted is for one piece. It travels flat in a single case with each branch wrapped separately and the deep blue middle bedded in foam, and it is lifted from beneath that middle and set on its block. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Clear fingers branching from both ends of a low blue sweep put this wave within our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
