Blue Range & Reflection on Acrylic Resin Sculpture - 65cm, a mountain-shaped teal form with black veining above its broader reflection, set on a clear acrylic block against a plain white background.
Blue Range & Reflection on Acrylic Resin Sculpture - 65cm $2,02400
Description

A teal range standing over its own inverted reflection, the pair carried on a clear acrylic block. The reflection beneath is drawn flatter and broader than the range above it, and black veining runs through both halves. The whole piece is low, and the block under it is narrow.

A Clear Block Leaves the Reflection Floating

What is put underneath a reflection decides whether the idea survives. Set the pair on black stone and the reflected half appears to sit on a shelf, which is the one thing water never does; the object becomes a range and a shape beneath it. A clear block does the opposite - the lower half is visibly unsupported from any angle, and the eye supplies the water the piece has carefully not modelled. It is a cheaper material than marble and it is the correct one here.

The block is doing work and wants to be seen, so this belongs where light gets under it: a glass shelf, a pale surface, a console with a lamp beside rather than above. Against a dark surface the clear block goes black and the reflection lands on it. The piece is long and very shallow, so it fits almost anywhere as long as it is met at the eye rather than looked down on.

The Block, the Waterline, and Delivery

Plan for 3–4 weeks on a standard piece and 5–6 weeks on a bespoke commission. The clear block leaves the reflected half apparently unsupported, which is what a stone base would take away. A marble base is made instead, the waterline is moved through the piece, and the teal is taken to a blue. The marble version is the more conventional object and loses the floating half entirely. It is sent as two packages, the block boxed apart and the casting faced, and the two are put together where it stands. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A teal range over an unsupported reflection belongs with our organic sculptures; black veining through both halves ties it to our resin sculptures, and a clear block lit from beneath suits our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
