A rising body worked to a broken surface and pierced right through in three places, the openings unequal in size and irregularly spaced. Blue throughout, deepest in the thick passages between the openings and palest at the torn edges. It is supplied without a base, and the deep blue of its foot reads straight against whatever it is set on.
An upright with holes through it is a structural problem disguised as a decorative one: every opening takes material from the one column that has to carry everything above it. The three openings are not evenly spaced and not the same size, which is what makes the piece read as eroded rather than as drilled. Regular holes in a rough body would look like a mistake in one of the two decisions. A body worked to look eroded reads its colour by thickness alone, so the three openings are ringed by the palest material on the piece and the mass between them is the darkest. The surface is left broken and unpolished across the faces, with only the openings' edges eased.
It needs a hall, a landing or a floor position where it is met face on. A pale wall behind it. The openings are the subject and they are read as light coming through. Daylight behind it makes the three openings the brightest passages on the whole object, and that is the intended reading. At a distance it is three holes in a blue mass, and the torn surface only arrives close to.
Set aside 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The opening count can change, the blue can be graded further, and a stone base can be added. Add an opening and the material between the others has to thin, because the same height then carries one more hole. A fourth opening can be worked in, and the three already there have to be redrawn when it is: the material between them is what carries the piece, and adding a hole thins every remaining passage rather than just the one it sits beside. One crate, standing on arrival. Two people are wanted at this height, taking it at the foot. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
An upright opened by three holes is found in our organic sculptures; its eroded blue casting sits among our resin sculptures, and more for the turn of a staircase waits in our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
