Blue Peanut Top Resin Console Table - 150cm with a translucent blue, pinched-waist top on cylindrical brass-finished legs, shown on a plain white background.
Blue Peanut Top Resin Console Table - 150cm $6,61500
Description

This console table carries a thick translucent blue top, swelling at each end and pinched to a waist in the middle so the plan reads as a peanut. It stands on plain brass-finished cylinders set in from the ends, and the top is deep enough in section that the blue darkens noticeably where it is seen edge on.

A Pinched Waist Between Two Swollen Ends

The waist is what the piece is for. It narrows to about half the width of either end, which breaks the top into two clear zones and gives the table a use at each end rather than one long run. The outline is a single curve with no straight section anywhere and no corner, and the edge is eased so the blue catches a highlight all the way round. Seen from above the top is glassy and reads almost turquoise; seen from a seat it reads a deep saturated blue through its section. The columns are cylindrical and completely plain, with no capital or base moulding, so nothing competes with the top.

Its height sits between a coffee table and a console: too tall for a sofa front, right for behind one, beside a bed, or along a wall in a hall. The pinched waist means it should not be pushed into a corner where one swollen end would be lost. Blue at this saturation wants plain walls, and the brass columns warm it enough to sit with oak and wool rather than only with plaster and stone. Indoor use only.

Column Finish, Top Depth & the Waist

The standard build is 3–4 weeks and the bespoke build 5–6. The waist width is specified at order and it changes the table completely: narrow as here and the piece reads as two joined tables, wide and it reads as one long top with a gentle pinch. It cannot be altered afterwards. Top depth in section is set thicker for a stronger colour through the edge or thinner for a lighter, glassier read. The columns are offered in this brass, in blackened steel and in polished stainless, and the column diameter can be brought down where the top is to look more suspended. Tints come from the studio range. Top and columns travel separately in one crate and are brought together on site, with the top lifted flat by two people at the swollen ends and lowered onto the columns rather than slid. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A peanut of blue resin on brass-finished columns belongs to our art furniture; the columns relate it to our metal sculptures, and the blue top to our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
