The knot in a single blue with its loops opened out, so more of what is behind arrives through them, on a block of black marble. One blue throughout, deepest where the ribbon is thickest and clearing where it thins toward each turn. The knot comes with its black marble block and sits on it at a single bend.
The wider the loops are opened the more of the room the piece borrows, so this version is chosen for where it will stand as much as for what it is. Opening the loops turns the wall behind into part of the object, and that decides where it can go: this version wants something worth looking at through it, and against a blank corner it gives up most of what it has. A single colour in a form with open loops means the ground behind the piece is part of it: everything seen through an opening arrives tinted blue, and the wall becomes a component. Polished inside and out, with the openings wide enough to reach and finish properly.
A sideboard or a wide console against a plain wall, where the openings have something to frame. Something worth looking at through it. A plain wall works, a window works better. Daylight behind it fills every opening; artificial light in front puts the emphasis back on the surface. The open loops make it legible from the far side of a room, and it changes more than most pieces as you move round it.
It takes 3–4 weeks to make as standard, and 5–6 weeks to make bespoke. The blue can be graded, the loops can be closed in, and it can be made to the height of its sibling. Close the loops in and the wall behind stops being part of the piece, which is most of what this version is for. One crate. The span wants care in the packing rather than extra hands. One person, lifting at the block, with the wide turns kept clear of door frames. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Open ribbon knots that frame the wall behind them continue in our organic sculptures; the single blue casting joins our resin sculptures, and more to set before a window is in our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
