This bar stool's seat shell is the whole object. It is a translucent blue, its surface running and pooling rather than smooth, with an opening clean through the back and a long closed loop of resin hanging from beneath the seat around the column. Under it a plain white column rises from a round disc foot, opaque where everything above it is translucent, so the shell appears to be resting on a stem rather than joined to it.
The arch through the back is what makes this stool more than a moulded seat. It is cut clean through, so from the front you see the room behind the sitter and from the side the back reads as a loop rather than a panel. Below the seat the shell carries on down as a long closed loop around the column and stops well above the foot, so the stem shows plainly inside it and the seat reads as floating. The white column and disc foot are entirely opaque, and that contrast is deliberate: the blue is translucent, the white is not, and the join between them is the only hard line on the object.
At 78cm to the top of the back this is a bar or counter stool, and the disc foot means it takes very little floor for its height. Two or three along a counter works, and the arch through each back keeps the run from reading as solid. Give it a pale floor: the shell is translucent and the white column is not, so a dark floor separates them awkwardly. Indoor use only.
Ours is a 3–4 week build as standard, and a 5–6 week build when the commission is bespoke. The column is the slow part. Three choices are open. The column is the first decision, from this plain white through to a brushed steel or a black, and a gas lift can be fitted or left off. The arch through the back is second: open as here, or filled, which turns the back into a panel. And the depth of the blue, from this clear tone to a deeper one that reads almost navy at the drips. You name the seat height and the overall height. A pair ordered at once will agree on the depth of the blue; ordered apart they will not. The arched back is what the crate is built around, and two people should carry it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A bar stool with a molten-looking seat is found among our art furniture; the blue cast belongs to our resin sculptures, and its looping form to our organic sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
