Two lobes come off a single root, one rising into a tall loop that arches over and comes back down to the ground, the other folded down against itself into a pointed scoop. The blue is nearly black at the crest of the loop, glows a brighter cobalt through the middle of the band and thins to pale at the foot of the fold, all of it under a matt frost. Nothing is supplied under it. The two lobes are the feet.
Two lobes off a single root are not two objects, and the fold between them is where that is settled. Everything in the piece is decided at the root: the two lobes are drawn from one section, and the fold is simply where that section runs out of room and has to turn. Matt resin is the point here: a polished surface would put the room into both lobes and hide the fold. Nothing is polished. The matt skin is what keeps both lobes reading as solid.
A shelf at eye height suits this, because the fold only shows when you are level with it. A pale wall does most of the work here, throwing the fold into relief. Under a soft light the matt surface reads as one form; under a hard one the fold prints a shadow inside itself. Across a room it is one blue mass, and the fact that it is two lobes is the second look.
Expect 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks where the commission is bespoke. The fold is opened, the matt surface is polished, and the blue is brought up to a mid tone. Open the fold and both lobes are remade, as the piece is one root and not two parts joined. It ships as a single piece in a fitted crate, and there is nothing to do on arrival but put it down where it is going. It is carried under the root where the two lobes meet, never by the loop. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A matt blue loop and fold grown from one root belongs to our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
