Blue Looping Band Resin Sculpture - 94cm, an abstract looping ribbon form in deep blue resin on a square black marble base, shown against a plain white background.
Blue Looping Band Resin Sculpture - 94cm $2,49700
Description

The band rises through a run of open scrolls, each loop standing clear of the one beneath it, and the whole climb leans back over the block. Deep blue through the band, darkest at the crown and clearing a little where the loops open. A square black marble block is included beneath the band.

Scrolls Set at Uneven Heights Up One Band

A loop that leaves the line of the band has to return to it, and each one adds to what the block underneath has to answer. The scrolls are set at uneven heights for that reason: spaced evenly they would put the whole of the reach on one side of the stone and the piece would want a wider foot than it has. A band looping back through itself puts two and three thicknesses in the way at once, and a tinted body gives each of them its own weight of colour. Polished on both faces of the band and inside every loop, which is most of the surface.

It wants the loops at or above eye level, which means a console rather than a low table. Put something pale behind it: deep blue on a dark ground closes into one silhouette. Light from behind opens the loops right through; from in front they stack into one mass. The eye is taken up through the loops and let go at the crown, which is where the colour is deepest.

Adding a Loop, and What the Block Has to Answer

Figure the difference between standard and bespoke at 3–4 weeks against 5–6. Ask us for another loop or two, for a different tone through the band, or for a stone foot in place of the block. Add a loop and the band grows, because every loop keeps the clearance it needs instead of being squeezed. Ribbon and block travel in one crate and are bedded together on site. Two people for the lift out, one at each end of the band. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A dark blue band looping up through open scrolls belongs to our organic sculptures; the looped casting joins our resin sculptures, and it asks to be raised to eye level, like much in our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
