Blue Layered Ridge Mountain Resin Sculpture, 79cm, by Giant Sculptures, twin peaks in glossy teal-to-aqua resin with nested ridges, on plain white background, no base.
Blue Layered Ridge Mountain Resin Sculpture - 79cm $2,69900
Description

A teal mountain of two summits, the higher at the left, its body layered with ridge after ridge nested inside one another like contour lines. The teal is deepest at the summits and clears to a pale aqua at the foot. It is glossy all over and stands on its own broad foot, with no base supplied.

Ridges Nested Inside a Teal Outline

There are two ways to make a mountain in clear resin, and this piece uses both at once. The outline is modelled in the round, with two summits and a saddle between them, while inside it each ridge is echoed by another standing just behind it, the way a range repeats itself into the distance. In a transparent material that layering earns something a solid colour cannot: each ridge tints whatever stands behind it, so depth reads as colour as well as form, and the teal gathers where the ridges crowd together toward the summits.

The layering reads best from the front, where the ridges stand one behind another, so it wants to be set square and met head on: a console against a wall, a deep shelf, the end of a run. It is broad and deep, so give it room on every side of its foot. Light from directly in front flattens the layers; a raking light from one side throws each ridge's shadow onto the next and brings the depth back.

Layer Count, a Deeper Teal, and Delivery

Our workshops take 3–4 weeks over a standard piece and 5–6 over a bespoke commission. The number of inner ridges is chosen at order, the colour can be pushed from teal toward blue, and the mountain is made in other widths. A plain outline with no inner ridges is offered too, a quieter and more conventional object. Without the layering it would be one more teal peak, so the ridges are what to keep. It is packed in one case bedded across the whole back, and it is lifted by the foot with two hands. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Two teal summits layered with nested ridges belong with our organic sculptures; colour deepening where the ridges crowd sets the piece among our resin sculptures, and a mountain met square on under raking light suits our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
