A round table built as a deep drum of stacked pale boards, with a blue lagoon cast into its level top. A stepped timber shore runs round most of the rim, the blue reaches out to the edge in a few places, and the water deepens to a dark marine towards the middle. One small patch of timber stands clear of the shore with blue all round it, a lone island near the edge of the lagoon.
The top is big enough for the landscape reading to become the point rather than the effect. Every edge of the shore is stepped, because each step is the sawn end of another board, which means the coast has a measured quality that a poured edge could never have. In the shallows the blue is a pale turquoise with the board ends showing through it as lines; further out the steps fall away and the colour runs to a deep marine at the centre of the lagoon. The timber runs cream to honey with its grain crossing the shore in parallel lines, and round the side of the drum the stacked boards show as close horizontal bands.
This is a large low table, suited to a wide seating group, a hotel lounge or a reception area rather than a domestic sitting room. Everyone around it looks down onto the top, which is the correct way to see it. The surface is flat and level throughout and takes anything. It wants clear space on every side, and it wants light from above rather than from one window, since a single source lays a bright patch across the resin and hides the shallows. Indoors only.
Work on a bespoke commission runs to 5–6 weeks, on a standard piece to 3–4. The coastline is drawn for each table and is the first thing to settle, from this complicated outline with inlets and outliers down to a single clean island with no interruptions. The depth of the blue is second: a strongly graded pour reads as real water, an even tone reads as a coloured field with a shape in it. And the timber, which can be this pale cream, a darker walnut that reverses the contrast entirely, or a mix of both across the island. The diameter is quoted to your own figure, as is the height. Delivery is a single crate on a purpose built pallet, and four people are wanted at this diameter. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Ringed by a stepped timber shore, this lagoon table is listed in our art furniture; the deep blue pour leads to our resin sculptures, the coastline of boards to our organic sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
