Spheres in perhaps six diameters mass into an S-curve on this acrylic sculpture, leaning well out of the vertical. The bodies are translucent and a pale aqua, joined one to the next in a chain that is a single sphere thick through its lower half and gathers into a crown of the broadest spheres at the top. The small spheres are not filler: they bud from the outside of the chain, one beside the crown, one far out to one side and one at the waist of the curve, so the outline swells and pinches as it climbs. Each sphere carries a scatter of bright highlights, and a pearly sheen over all of them deepens to a stronger aqua wherever one sphere meets the next.
The run of diameters is the whole exercise, and it is settled before anything is made: the cluster is drawn in three dimensions first, and every sphere is then joined to its neighbour where the two curves touch. The broadest spheres are gathered at the crown, where the curve turns, and the chain beneath them runs down through mid-sized spheres to the least of them at its foot, so the lean reads as a reach rather than a slump. The joins are worked until they read as contact rather than as fixing, and the small spheres on the outside of the chain are placed by eye, wherever the outline wants a swell.
At 58cm it wants to be met at waist-to-chest height, so the crown of the curve arrives near the eye; give it a sideboard or a console with clear air on the side it leans towards. Put a wall on that side and the lean no longer registers; it simply looks toppled. Soft light from one side is what the sheen wants; a downlight overhead lights the top of every sphere equally and flattens the cluster into a pale lump. It gains more from a dark ground than from a pale one, since the bodies are pale and lose their edges against a light wall.
Count on the difference between standard and bespoke: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. The number of spheres, the run of diameters and how far the curve leans are drawn per piece, so a compact cluster or a long reaching arc are both available from this design. You choose the finish when you order: the pale aqua sheen it carries here, a warm gold, a cool blue, or clear spheres left plainly polished. The bodies can be tinted through instead, which gives a steadier colour and loses the movement. Sizes run up to pieces that stand on the floor. It is lifted with a hand beneath the broad spheres of the chain, never by a single sphere at the top of the curve. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A leaning chain of pale aqua spheres, broad at its crown and single beneath, is counted among our acrylic sculptures, our organic sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
