A frosted blue cast resin chair, its wall one even thickness from the feet of its legs to the rim of its shell. The seat curves up at the back into a low panel and rises at each side into a wing that ends before the front edge, and two flat legs sweep down and outward beneath it. The blue is deepest along its cut edges and palest across the open seat.
What sets the chair apart is the evenness of its wall. The same thickness runs through the wings, the back panel, the seat and the legs alike, so the shell reads as one continuous sheet folded into a seat. The frost diffuses light through that single thickness, and the colour gathers wherever the sheet turns edge on: at the cut rims, round the tops of the wings and down the outer faces of the legs. Across the open seat, where the sheet lies flat to the eye, the tint pales almost to white. There is not a straight line anywhere on it.
It is a low chair, easy to draw up to a dressing table, a writing desk or the end of a dining table, and set beside its red and green companions it makes a group that reads as one family. The flat legs spread its weight, so it stands steadily on a rug or a timber floor. Place it side on to the room, so that the wings and the rolled rim of the shell are what people see, and set it on an unpatterned floor, since the frosted resin takes on the colour of whatever lies beneath it.
Production takes approximately 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. A single flat tint through the whole shell can be quoted in place of the graded blue. The wings can stay as drawn or be cut away to leave a plain tub, and beneath the shell the continuous sled can be exchanged for four slim tapered legs, which raise it clear of the floor and give the chair a quite different stance. The same chair is cast in red and in green, each sold as its own piece, and chairs ordered at once are cast in the same session so their tints match. It is crated singly and needs two people to carry it into the room. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
More seating shaped as sculpture is found in our art furniture, and other curled shells and tinted castings appear among our organic sculptures and our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
