A frosted crescent of petrol blue resin that comes round almost to a closed ring and stops, leaving a narrow gap between its two ends above a round opening. One end is a broad blade that rises to a sharp point, and the other tapers away to a fine tip, so the two meet across the gap at quite different widths. The whole surface carries a fine granular frost, the blue clearing to a pale grey across the outer part of the blade, and it is supplied standing on black marble.
The blade at one end and the point at the other is what separates this from a plain ring. A crescent of even section reads as a slice out of a circle; taken out to a broad blade on one side, the two ends meet across the gap at different widths and the piece has a front. The granular frost is carried over the whole surface rather than the blade alone, so the change in width and the clearing of the blue carry the asymmetry between them, with no change of finish to compete.
A console, a desk or a deep shelf takes it at 51cm, and it wants light coming across the face rather than straight at it, since a frost this fine only shows its grain under a raking source. Turning the opening outward instead of toward a wall is what makes the gap do its work. The block holds it steady on any level surface. The gap between the blade and the tip is the whole composition: closed further it would be a ring, and opened further it would be two separate pieces sharing a base.
Delivery follows a 3–4 week build as standard, or a 5–6 week build if bespoke. The frost is polished off the blade, the petrol blue is lifted toward aqua, and the gap between the two ends is drawn wider. Height is specified at the order and the blade keeps its proportion to the tip through the range. The blade is also cut broader or slimmer against the same fine tip, which shifts the weight of the whole curve. The blue is graded from the blade rather than the foot on request. Crescent and block travel in one box, and it is carried by the marble alone, with no hand on the blade or the fine tip. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A petrol blue crescent that closes almost to a ring, broad at the blade and fine at the tip, rests among our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
