The band folds back and forth up its whole height above a plinth of the same width, each reversal sitting square to the one beneath it. Deep blue through the whole band, with the folds darkest where they double back. A black marble plinth is included beneath it and carries the band at the height it is drawn for.
The same folding at a gloss finish counts differently: each reversal returns the room instead of holding a shadow, so the piece is read as a run of bright lines. Gloss also means the folds are spaced further apart than a frosted band would need, because a bright line spreads across its neighbours where a shadow stays where it is put. The resin is the whole of it here: a gloss surface returns the room at every reversal, so what the eye gets is a run of bright lines. Polished to a high gloss on both faces, and the fold edges are left sharp.
It needs space on the floor rather than a surface, since the plinth is what the band stands on. A pale ground behind it, since the deep blue closes up against anything dark. Two sources at different heights, because a folded band lit from one point has half its turns unlit. From the door it is a dark column; the folds separate once you are inside the room.
Once ordered, a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke one 5–6. We will draw the band longer, change the blue, or cut the plinth to another plan. Draw the band longer and the plinth changes to answer it, so the pair keep the height they are arranged for. The plinth can be cut in another stone. Band and plinth are crated apart and stacked where the piece will live. Two people for the plinth and one for the band. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A deep blue band reversing on itself the whole way up belongs to our organic sculptures; its gloss blue reversals sit with our resin sculptures, and a hall with a light wall at its back takes it in among our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
