An upright ring of blue resin, drawn like the handle of a basket and standing on a low black marble block. The opening takes up the upper half of the piece and a little more, leaving a band that is broad and solid at the foot and thin over the top. Flutes radiate out from the opening across the front face and notch its inner edge, while the outer edge runs round in one smooth curve. Deep blue gathers at the foot, the fluted face clears to a frosted white down both sides, and the crown is a pale blue. The marble block is included.
Ribbing the inside of a ring and leaving the outside plain is what makes the opening the subject. The flutes catch light at their crests and hold shadow between them, so the inner edge is drawn as a broken line while the outer edge stays a single clean curve. Read together, the two edges tell you how thick the band is at every point round the arch, which a plain ring of this section never does. The colour is set to agree: deepest where the band is broadest at the foot, clearing where it thins over the top, so the grade and the section describe the same thing twice.
At 61cm with its block it sits on a shelf or a console, and the aperture wants a background with some depth in it rather than a flat surface. Light from behind is what the flutes are cut for and a downlight does almost nothing for them. It stands steady on its block, though it is best kept out of reach of anything that could knock it. The flutes radiate from the opening, so the ring appears to widen from the inside out, and the pale crown makes the arch present as thinner than the material at the foot.
A standard piece takes 3–4 weeks to make, and a bespoke commission 5–6. The flutes are cut finer, the blue is graded from the crown instead of from the foot, and the ring is drawn to a rounder opening. Height is specified at the order and the flute count follows it instead of staying where it is. The opening is drawn rounder or narrower on request, and a narrower one changes the piece from an arch into a loop. The ring can also be cast colourless, with the flutes alone to carry it, where the blue is too strong for the room. It travels in one box with the arch supported, and it is lifted by the marble, never by the thin crown of the arch. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Standing a ring on end is organic sculpture; the radiating flutes are cut into resin sculpture; and an opening you can see the wall through is indoor sculpture.

Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
