A blue ring, faceted outside and pierced by one teardrop opening. The blue is deepest along the outer edges and clears almost to white across the band, and the opening is set low and a little off the upright, leaving the band heavy above and slight below. No base is included, and the ring sits directly on the flat cut at its foot.
A ring with one hole in it is decided entirely by where the hole goes. Centred, the piece becomes a doughnut and stops being interesting; pushed too far to one edge it stops being a ring and becomes a broken form with a notch. This opening sits low and slightly off the vertical axis, which leaves a heavy band of material along the top and a thin one at the foot, and that is what makes the piece appear to rise. The teardrop shape does the rest. A circular hole would have read as a hole; a shape with a point at one end and a curve at the other gives the eye a direction to follow round the inside of the ring. The facets on the outside are cut broad rather than fine for the same reason, so that each one carries a single sweep of graded blue and the outside reads as a few large surfaces rather than a scatter of small ones.
At 75cm it stands on its own cut foot and suits a console, a wide low table or a plinth, and it is met from the front rather than walked round, since seen edge on the opening shuts and the ring reads as a flat blue slab. It wants light behind it more than on it, since the white through the middle is thin material rather than white pigment, and a bright ground behind the opening is what separates the two.
A standard piece takes 3–4 weeks to make, and a bespoke commission 5–6. The opening is drawn rounder, the facets are cut finer, and the blue is graded from the foot instead of the rim. Other diameters of ring are produced, and a base is made for it where the flat cut at the foot is not wanted on show. A frosted body is offered and changes the object completely: frosting stops light partway through, so the graded blue becomes a surface tone and the opening becomes the only depth in the piece. It stands upright in its crate with the opening blocked out, and it is carried by the outer edge and never through the opening, which is the thinnest section in the casting. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A ring pierced by one teardrop belongs with our organic sculptures; blue that pales to white through the middle leads to our resin sculptures, and a faceted ring for a broad console joins our indoor sculptures.

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
