This cast resin sculpture is a dog seated upright on its haunches, with pointed ears standing straight and a collar cut round the neck. The whole animal is faceted: the chest, the shoulders and the flanks are all flat planes meeting at hard edges, and only the ears and the collar are treated softly. The muzzle is worked level and held out in front of the chest, and it carries a polished steel tray, which comes with the piece, as does the low round base the dog sits on. The resin is a dark blue-green that goes almost black in the deep sections and clears where the material thins.
Faceting an animal is a matter of deciding where an edge goes and then committing to it, because a plane can be taken down but never put back. The planes here are large and few, which is harder than many small ones: each has to be dead flat across a considerable span, and the edges between them have to run true, since a curved edge on a faceted animal looks like a slip rather than a choice. They are cut in order from the shoulder down so the largest surfaces are established first. The muzzle is the other exacting passage. It is held out level to carry the tray, so the top of the muzzle reads against the line of the base beneath, and a fraction of a degree out shows in the tray from across a room.
At 73cm it sits at about thigh height beside someone standing, so it belongs on the floor: beside a door, at the foot of the stairs, at the end of a hall. It faces one way and the facets close up from behind, so set it looking into the room, where its tray can take keys or post by the door. The colour needs light to reach it. In a dim corner the whole animal goes black and the facets are lost; against a window or under a wall light the planes separate and the thin sections turn green.
Order a standard piece and it takes 3–4 weeks; order it bespoke and it takes 5–6. Colour is settled at order: this blue-green, an amber, a smoke, a clear body or an opaque finish where a solid colour is wanted. The facets can be made broader for a blockier dog or finer for a smoother one, the collar can be left off, and the base can be ordered in another colour. Any scale is cut to order, from a table piece up to something well above seated height. It arrives in one fitted crate standing as it sits, with the ears cased separately and pressed home on site; take the weight under the haunches and never by the ears or the muzzle. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A seated dog cut into planes from its ears down belongs with our animal sculptures; a muzzle held out level leads to our art furniture, and blue-green going almost black in the deep sections joins our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
