Blue Double Curl Resin Sculpture - 110cm
Blue Double Curl Resin Sculpture - 110cm $5,13000
Description

A double curl in blue resin: each arm turns back into the other around a centre left open the whole way through, so the piece can be looked at or looked past depending where it stands. Blue through both arms, deepest where they cross and clearing toward the tips. The block beneath it is black marble and comes with the curl.

Two Arms and No Join Between Them

The two arms are drawn as a single line that happens to cross itself, not as two shapes brought together, and the opening in the middle is what proves it: follow the outer edge and it returns to where it started without once meeting an edge that belongs to something else. Two arms turning into one another in a single body is why there is no join to find: the colour runs through the crossing without interruption and the eye reads one movement rather than two shapes. Polished over both arms and around the opening between them.

It wants a sideboard with the opening turned into the room. A pale ground behind it: the opening is meant to be looked through and needs something on the far side. Light from behind fills the opening; light from the front lays the blue flat and the curl closes. The opening is found first at a distance and the crossing second.

A Tighter Curl, Another Tone, and a Pallet

Our workshops take 3–4 weeks over a standard piece and 5–6 over a bespoke commission. If you would rather a tighter curl, that is settled at the drawing, and other tones are open to you. Tighten the curl and the opening narrows with it, because the two arms keep the clearance they need from each other. How tight the curl is drawn is settled before casting. It ships on a pallet, block and curl in the same box. Three people, with the weight taken under the stone. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Two blue arms curling into each other lead to our organic sculptures; the curled casting joins our resin sculptures, and an open centre to look through suits it among our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
