Blue Dancing Figure Resin Sculpture, 69cm, a bird-like dancer in translucent blue resin with a flaring skirt, on a black marble base, plain white background.
Blue Dancing Figure Resin Sculpture - 69cm $1,68700
Description

A dancer in blue resin, the body turned at the waist, one arm raised in a curve above its head, and the skirt flaring out in a fan of folds. The blue is deep at the hem and through the skirt and lightens to a pale, glassy blue through the arm and the head, so the dancer appears to lift out of the colour. It stands on black marble, which comes with it.

A Dancer Rising Out of Blue

The figure is cast slim, closer to a stained-glass pane than to a statue, so the blue is seen right across it and the movement of the dance is drawn in colour: deep where the skirt gathers, pale where the arm sweeps up. The folds of the skirt catch the light along their edges and give the piece its rhythm. Both faces are polished, because a figure this flat is seen from the front and the back alike, and each piece varies a little in how far the deep blue climbs.

A console or a long shelf in a bedroom or a sitting room, where it is seen against a plain wall. White, blue and grey rooms suit it, and silver and glass make good companions. Daylight behind it lights the blue like a church window; a pale wall keeps the outline crisp, and at night a lamp beside it throws a soft blue glow onto the wall.

Another Blue, and the Delivery

Where the piece is standard the build is 3–4 weeks, and where it is bespoke 5–6. This blue can be taken darker, towards navy, or softened to aqua, and a second colour can be run into the head and arm. A white stone block can take the place of the black. The same dancer is also made in teal marbling and in orange and red, each sold separately. It is crated on its block, and because the figure is so slim it is lifted by the stone, never by the raised arm or the edge of the skirt. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A blue dancer rising out of deep colour is found in our indoor sculptures; the turning, flared figure belongs with our contemporary and modern sculptures, and the glassy casting is one more of our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
