This low table is a block cast as blue ice on an irregular oval plan, its sides worked into a rough churned texture in a strong blue while the top face is left smooth and pale. The effect is of still water lying over turbulence, and the flat face makes it a table rather than a piece of ice: the top is level and the disturbance is all in the sides.
The churn is modelled into the side faces of the mould at a depth that changes right round the plan, and the top is worked in the upper face as a single flat plane, so two entirely different surfaces come off one piece. The blue is strongest in the churned material because the section is deepest there, which is the reason the top reads pale without being tinted differently. Polishing the top to a level face while leaving the sides rough is the slow part, since the two meet at an arris that must stay sharp. The bottom is faced flat across the whole irregular plan.
In the middle of a ring of seats, the oval plan has no corner to catch a passing shin. The smooth top takes a tray or a book, and the churned sides are what the piece is, so it wants floor around it rather than a sofa pushed against one side. Blue this strong reads best on a pale floor, which lets the sides show their depth.
A standard piece takes 3–4 weeks to make, and a bespoke commission 5–6. The churned side is the slow part. Only three things need deciding. The blue can be taken to any tint, the top can be textured to match the sides, and the plan can be worked to a rounder oval. Both the block length and the block height are yours to set. Send one order for the group and the churn beneath the surface stays even across it. The packing is designed round the churned sides and the smooth face; allow four people on arrival. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Churned blue sides under a smooth pale top give our art furniture a centre table of strong colour; its rough, wave-worked flanks answer our organic sculptures, the blue block our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
