Blue Bowl Seat Cast Resin Lounge Chair - 64cm
Blue Bowl Seat Cast Resin Lounge Chair - 64cm $4,58900
Description

In this lounge chair the blue deepens as it descends. The bowl of the seat is an ice-pale, glassy blue, edged in a stronger blue along its rolled rim, and the colour thickens down the four stout legs until it reaches a rich sapphire where they stand. Seat and legs flow together without a seam, and where each leg rises into the seat a deep blue lobe shows through the clear base of the bowl.

Ice-Pale Bowl, Sapphire Feet

Blue resin changes with its thickness very visibly, and the chair is drawn to exploit that. The bowl is a broad, flared shell, so it stays light and glassy, while the legs are solid posts whose colour builds from a clear mid-blue under the seat to near navy at the floor. Because the gradient follows the form, it shifts as you walk round the chair. The rim is rolled out into a smooth lip, and the whole piece is polished to a wet-looking shine.

This is a chair to sink into rather than perch on, so it suits a living room, a sunroom or a quiet corner of a bedroom. The blue looks crisp in a white or grey room and calm beside natural linen and pale timber. North light keeps it cool, while a low sun brings the deep blue of the legs forward. Indoor use only.

How Far the Blue Runs, and Lounging Deeper

Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. The blue can stay as it is here, run paler all the way down, or be taken darker so the bowl holds colour too. A set can be cast together in one blue, or in graded blues from pale to deep. The seat can be shaped deeper for lounging further back, with the lip pulled forward to suit. A crate is built for the chair alone, it arrives ready to use, and two people manage it easily. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Made to be sat in, this blue chair is among our art furniture; its rounded, joint-free outline belongs with our organic sculptures, and the deepening tint with our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
