Deep blue where it rises and clear at its tips, this cast resin sculpture branches the way a bare tree does, dividing all the way to a canopy of fine points. From a dense knot of water at the foot several stems spring at once: a heavy trunk climbs on one side and divides near the top into antler-like branches, slender shoots rise beside it, a second branch twists up on the other side, and one more reaches out low and sideways. The blue thins out at the same rate the material does, which is why the canopy reads as light and the foot reads as weight.
The difficulty here is at the top rather than at the bottom, which is the opposite of most of what the house makes. On a form that tapers, the highest part is also the slightest, so the canopy is at once the most exposed region and the one that carries the design: if the branches thin out too soon the top reads as broken, and if they stay heavy it reads as a bush. So each stem divides again as it climbs, the forks finer each time, until the ends are no more than points. Every branch is drawn to the one beside it rather than to a template, so the silhouette is decided last and is never twice the same.
The canopy is the reason for it, so it needs headroom and a ground plain enough for the branches to be counted against. Under a low ceiling the top of the piece is crowded and the form loses the one thing it is doing; in front of a busy wall the ends disappear entirely. At 124cm it suits a stairwell, a double-height hall or any position with a clear field above the eye. It is worth standing where it can be seen from below as well as across, since the branches read as a canopy only from underneath and as a flat drawing from square on.
Where the piece is standard the build is 3–4 weeks, and where it is bespoke 5–6. The branches carry on dividing right to the top where the material is thinnest, and the top of the piece is where it is weakest. The height is cut to order, the canopy is drawn open or closed, and a smoke grey is used in place of the blue. The depth of the blue at the foot is set at order too, and the piece can be supplied with a stone base where the floor is uneven. It comes in one tall braced crate lying down, the canopy faced branch by branch, and it is raised to standing on site before it is carried anywhere. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Blue water branching like a bare tree into a canopy of clear points spreads into our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
