A splash of blue resin combed over every face, inside and out. One end lifts into a tall blue crest torn into points, with a pale yellow wing reaching out from it, itself torn into a run of points; through the middle the splash dips low into a hollow, and at the other end it climbs into a horn that curls inward, an amber lobe running along the inside of its rim. The black marble block it stands on comes with it.
Combing a splash over every face, outside as well as in, is what keeps a form this open from reading as a shell: wherever the light lands it finds a stroke to run down. The strokes run up from the floor toward every torn point, so they give the form a direction, and the deepest of them are on the face of the tall crest, where they read as ripples. The colour follows the same direction. Blue holds the walls, and the warm colours are set high, a pale yellow in the wing at one end and an amber along the curl of the horn at the other, so they sit where the strokes arrive.
It needs headroom more than depth, since the points lean out as they rise, so a low plinth serves it better than a shelf. Light from above runs down every stroke at once and is the arrangement the combing is cut for. Against a pale wall the yellow wing and the amber in the horn stay readable, and a dark one swallows them. The combing runs up toward every torn point, so the form appears to be still opening, and from directly above the strokes converge on the floor instead.
From order, a standard piece runs to 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission to 5–6. The combing is cut deeper across the inner face, the pale yellow of the wing is deepened to the amber of the horn, and a white stone is made for it. Other heights are made, and the combing opens out as the piece grows. Leaving the inner face uncombed gives a far plainer piece and throws the whole reading onto the torn points. Stone and casting share a crate and are wrapped apart, every point protected, and the casting is lifted by its belly, never by the crest, the wing or the horn. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A blue splash combed inside and out, warmed with yellow at its wing and amber in its curl, is grouped with our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
