A round table whose whole base is a hemisphere of stacked timber boards, standing on a small flat foot. The boards run horizontally and each is cut to the curve, so the outside of the bowl is banded in pale end grain from the foot to the rim. Inside the top, blue and green resin pools to a flat level surface, and the timber breaks through it around the edge in a ragged ring.
Here the base is the sculpture and the top merely finishes it. Seen from any standing position what reads is the bowl: a full hemisphere, banded from foot to rim in the sawn ends of perhaps forty boards, each band a slightly different cream according to the grain it came from. The curve is continuous and there is no visible step anywhere in it. Only from above does the resin come into play, and there the depth of the bowl tells: the blue in the middle sits over a considerable thickness and reads almost black, while the green at the edges sits over almost nothing and reads bright. Between them is a band where the two colours meet in a ragged line, following the timber as it rises to the rim. The overall effect is of a pool in a stone basin.
As a coffee table it is a big one, and because the hemisphere claims the floor beneath it where legs would leave it free, it wants open floor all round. There is nothing to catch a foot on. The top is level and generous. It suits an overhead light, which puts the whole pool in view; light from one side reflects off the resin and leaves the bowl in shadow, which loses half the object. On a pale floor the bowl reads as a solid mass; on a dark one the pale banding is the strongest thing in the room. Indoors only.
Ordinarily a standard piece needs 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. Everything here follows from the depth of the bowl, so start with that: a full hemisphere as here reads as a basin, a shallower dish reads as a disc on a foot, and a deeper one begins to read as a vessel that happens to have a level top. Then the colour pair, which can be this blue and green, a single blue, or an amber and brown that abandons the water reading entirely. Then the timber, pale as here or a dark walnut. Bowl diameter and overall height come to order. It travels bowl down on a pallet in one crate, and three people should place it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A bowl of banded boards brimming with blue and green, this table suits our art furniture; for the pooled colour see our resin sculptures, and for the timber hemisphere our organic sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
