Blue & Green Looped Band Resin Sculpture - 125cm, figure-eight teal resin form crossing at center on a black marble base, set against a plain white background.
Blue & Green Looped Band Resin Sculpture - 125cm $3,24000
Description

The band crosses itself once, at the middle, so it rises as a figure of eight with each loop standing clear. Teal through the whole band, darkest where it crosses itself and palest along the outer edge. A block of black marble is included in the price. It rises from a single stem set at the centre of the block.

One Crossing Holding Two Loops

The crossing is the only place on this piece where anything is decided: move it up or down and both loops have to be redrawn from the foot, because the clearance between the two passes is what stops the whole thing reading as a knot. A band that crosses itself puts two thicknesses in the way at that point, and a tinted body turns that into the darkest part of the piece without any change of surface. The band is frosted to a soft satin over both faces, so the teal reads as depth rather than as reflection.

It wants a corner of a floor, or a console with the crown above the eye. Something pale at its back, since the crossings are where all the colour gathers. Side light separates the two passes at the crossing; head-on light closes them into a single band. The figure of eight carries; which pass is in front settles only close to.

A Second Crossing, and One Crate on End

Allow 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. Say the word and the band crosses a second time, another tone runs through it, or the stone changes plan. Add a crossing and the band is drawn narrower, since the passes have to stay clear of one another. The count of crossings is settled before casting. One crate standing on end, the block packed below the band. Two people: one holds the band steady and the other takes the block. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A teal band drawn into a figure of eight belongs to our organic sculptures; its tinted body goes with our resin sculptures, and a floor corner with the crown above the eye takes it into our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
