The wave rises from a clear foot and opens at the crest into a broken edge that runs its whole width. Clear blue at the foot rising to frosted teal at the crest, with the break the palest part of it. A black block is included beneath it, and the wave is cast onto that. Seen from the side, the crest leans out past the foot.
A breaking wave has to look like something about to happen rather than something already finished, and that is settled by where the crest sits over the foot. It is drawn forward of it, so the whole form leans into the break, and the foot is spread wide enough to answer what leans past it. A body that frosts as it rises is what makes water read as breaking: the foot is looked through and the crest is not, and nothing about the material changes between them. Polished through the foot and left broken along the crest.
It wants a floor rather than a surface, with room left clear around the foot. A pale ground behind it, because the crest is white and needs somewhere to stop. Light from behind runs up through the clear foot; light from the front finds the crest and leaves the foot dark. The rise carries across a room; the break at the top is a near fact.
Making a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks, and making a bespoke one 5–6. Say the word and the crest is drawn fuller, the foot is left clearer, or the wave is made at another height. Raise the crest and the foot is widened beneath it, because a wave this tall has to stand on what it rises from. One crate on a pallet, and it goes straight into position. Three people for the lift, hands at the foot and not the crest. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A teal wave breaking open at its crest belongs to our organic sculptures; the clear blue foot rising into frost joins our resin sculptures, and open floor round its foot is the setting it wants in our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
