Blue & Clear Rising Twist Resin Sculpture - 74cm, a twisting ribbon form in clear resin with blue-tinted edges on a black stone base, shown against a plain white background.
Blue & Clear Rising Twist Resin Sculpture - 74cm $1,75300
Description

A slim twist of clear resin with a cool blue cast, climbing from a hollowed foot to a slender tip. The blue collects along the edges of the ribbon and in the curve of the hollow, while the flat faces stay almost colourless, so the form is drawn in thin blue lines like ice. A black stone block sits beneath it and comes with it.

Blue Drawn Along the Edges

With only a light tint, the colour behaves like a line: it gathers wherever the resin is seen edge-on, at the rims of the ribbon and the lip of the hollow, and leaves the broad faces clear. The effect is of a glass sculpture outlined in blue ink. The twist is polished to a flawless finish, since any flaw would show in the clear passages, and the black block below gives the pale form a firm, dark footing that makes the blue edges read more sharply still.

Put it where its fine edges can be seen up close: on a desk, a console or a deep shelf. Minimal rooms in white and grey are its natural setting, next to silver, glass and dark wood. Side light brings the blue edges alive; a dark background makes the clear faces sparkle, and a spotlight from above turns the whole twist into a thin blue drawing.

A Stronger Blue, a Frost, and Delivery

Ours is a 3–4 week build as standard, and a 5–6 week build when the commission is bespoke. The blue can be strengthened through the whole body or kept to the edges, and the surface can be frosted for a misty look. White marble is possible for the block. Amber, aqua and frosted blue-grey versions of the twist are sold separately. Crated on its block, it needs only one person to set it down by the stone, and it is ready to show the moment it is unpacked. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Clear resin outlined in blue along every edge sits with our resin sculptures; the slim, turning ribbon belongs to our organic sculptures, and more for a pared-back room is in our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
