Description

Deep blue water runs round the outside of this hoop, from a tail trailing at its foot, up and over the top and down the far side, while the layers on the inner face of the band are left clear. Overhead the wave breaks into a crest of tall, upturned spikes that pale towards their tips, and small fingers reach in across the hollow of the ring. Nothing stands beneath the ring, which rests on its band alone.

Deep Blue Outside, Clear Within, Round an Open Ring

The blue is set where the band would hold the most water. Along the outer edge and through the tail it reaches a saturated cobalt, and towards the inside of the ring it softens away to clear resin, so the band looks deep from outside and glassy from within. Up at the crest the colour thins again and the spikes end almost colourless, which keeps the top of the wave light against the wall behind it. The band twists as it climbs, so blue and clear trade places along its length and the ring never reads as a flat strip of colour.

Its 66cm height suits a long console or a broad shelf, with room to walk past it and see it from both sides. A pale wall behind it makes the blue of the outer band read strongly while the clear inner layers stay bright, and a lamp to one side catches the spikes of the crest. As it has no base, choose a spot where it will not be knocked. Indoor use only.

The Blue Hoop, Bespoke Colour and Delivery

Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. The price is for one hoop, sold individually. Made to order, the blue can go deeper or lighter, be carried further into the inner layers or be kept to the outer edge, and the hoop can be opened out further or made to another scale. Nothing supports it but the ring itself, so it is laid flat in a made-to-measure case, lifted out with a hand beneath each side of the ring and only then turned upright. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
