Blue & Clear Pierced Crest Abstract Wave Resin Sculpture, 47cm, on a white base against a plain light background, showing pierced openings and splashed wave form.
Blue & Clear Pierced Crest Abstract Wave Resin Sculpture - 47cm $1,76400
Description

This abstract wave sculpture rises from a splashed foot as one broad sheet of water, its edges ragged with spurs and drops, and divides at the top into two lobes. One climbs to a tall, slender point; the other sweeps out to the side, pierced by a cluster of round openings, and trails off into a fringe of small points. A row of four small oval openings crosses the middle of the sheet. Sky blue collects in the spray at the foot and fades as the sheet climbs, until the crest is almost colourless, and the whole piece stands on a low white marble base.

Two Lobes Rising From One Sheet of Water

The piece is built as one sheet of water that rises, thins and divides. Low down it is thick and blue, gathered into a ring of splashed spray whose fingers flick outward on both sides; above that it rises as a single broad face, its edges broken into spurs and drops; and at the top it separates into two lobes of very different character, one drawn up into a slender point, the other swept wide and opened up with round holes, as though the water had begun to tear apart into spray. The openings repeat in a small row across the middle of the sheet, which ties the body to the crest, and the blue follows the same climb, strongest in the splash at the foot and gone by the time the lobes divide.

At 47cm on its marble base it sits well on a dresser, a console table or a deep shelf, ideally where daylight reaches it from behind or from one side. Backlit, the blue at the foot glows and the round openings in the crest show as bright points; lit only from the front, it reads more as a pale silhouette. A pale wall, white or a soft grey, flatters the sky blue, and the small footprint asks for little depth.

Sky Blue, the Openings and Delivery

Expect 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks where the commission is bespoke. The price covers the wave together with its white marble base. As a commission the sky blue can be strengthened or softened, run further up the sheet or held in the spray at the foot, or changed for another tint, and the round openings in the crest can be made more numerous or left out. Black marble can replace the white for the base. Packed upright in a padded crate, the crest and its points faced and the base boxed beside it, the wave goes onto the marble once both are out. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A sheet of sky blue water dividing into a pointed lobe and a pierced one is part of our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
