Blue & Clear C-Curl Wave on Clear Base Resin Sculpture - 130cm, a curling wave in blue resin forming a near-closed C shape on a clear acrylic base, set against a plain white background.
Blue & Clear C-Curl Wave on Clear Base Resin Sculpture - 130cm $8,63600
Description

This wave of blue resin curls round into a letter C, almost closed, its top end reaching over and its bottom end folding back beneath it, so the water encloses a round space. It stands on a long, clear acrylic base that almost disappears, so the curl seems to float above it. The blue is deepest in the thick of the curl and clears towards its ends.

A Curl of Water Almost Closing on Itself

A wave that curls this far round becomes a ring, and the space it holds is as important as the water. The curl is drawn as one broad band that thickens at the back and thins at both ends, so the ends look light and the circle stays open. Its surface is rippled with the movement of water, and the blue, held in the thickest part, glows against a bright window. The clear base is part of the idea: it lifts the wave while drawing little attention to itself, and it gives the curl a long, calm line to sit on.

A console, a sideboard or a wide cabinet suits it, placed so the ring faces the room and can be looked through. A window or a lit wall behind it fills the curl with light; against a dark wall the clear base disappears completely. It is a calm, graphic piece and works in a modern room.

Blue, the Base and Delivery

As standard the build runs 3–4 weeks, and as a bespoke commission 5–6. The blue can be deepened, turned to aqua, green or amber, or the wave left clear, and the base is also made in black or white. A black base makes the curl read as a bold shape against it, and a white one gives it a gallery look. The curl can also be drawn more open, as a half circle. Wave and base are crated apart; once the acrylic block is in position, the wave is lifted onto it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A blue curl of water held almost closed above a long, glassy acrylic slab sits within our resin sculptures, our acrylic sculptures and our organic sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
