The Black Wire Mesh Metal Sculpture is a large, organic stone-inspired form finished in a soft matte black, opening at the crown into a woven dome of fine silver wire. The contrast is the whole idea — solid, tactile mass against airy, see-through metalwork — so the piece reads as a smooth river stone from one side and a delicate wire structure from the other. At 200cm across, it is a genuine floor and garden sculpture rather than a tabletop accent.
This abstract stone sculpture is fabricated in metal and hand-finished in a deep matte black, with the woven wire crown polished to a bright silver for contrast. The smooth, seamless body is engineered to hold its finish indoors or in a garden setting, while the open mesh section adds lightness and lets shadow play through the piece as the light changes. The generous scale gives it real presence — a rounded, grounding shape that reads as natural geology reworked in metal.
As a large garden sculpture, it works beautifully as a calm, meditative feature on a lawn, in a courtyard, in a wide reception or gallery space, or set among planting and gravel. The neutral black palette sits quietly against stone, timber, and greenery, while the silver mesh keeps it modern and crafted.
Every sculpture is handmade to order by our fabricators. Production takes approximately 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Customisation is offered. Alternative finishes, alternative sizes, and bespoke stone forms designed from a brief are all possible. Contact us before ordering.
