A windswept figure cast in resin, graded from smoke black to clear. Its skirt streams back behind it and fans out at the foot, and above the waist the body lifts and spreads into a wide flare thrown back by the wind. The black is dense in the skirt and the foot and fades as the figure rises, so the waist is grey and the blown-back top is clear. Its base is a block of polished black stone, supplied with it, and the dark foot seems to grow out of it.
Grading from black to clear puts the weight of the figure at the bottom, where the skirt is swept back hardest, and leaves the top open to the light. The smoke is dense at the foot, thins through grey at the waist and is gone by the shoulders, so the flare reads as clear air against the dark skirt. The effect is of a figure stepping out of shadow. The grade is blended, with no line where one tone becomes the next, and every surface is polished to a gloss.
Set it on a console or a dresser, at a height where the flare comes close to eye level. A pale wall suits it best, showing both the dark skirt and the clear top; against black the smoke disappears. Raking light picks out the swept skirt, and a lamp above makes the flare sparkle. It works beautifully in monochrome rooms and beside grey stone.
From order, a standard piece runs to 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission to 5–6. The smoke can be laid heavier, so the black climbs higher up the figure, or lighter, so only the foot is dark, and it can be made in another colour such as navy or brown. White marble is offered for the block. The same figure also comes in amber grading to clear, in aqua blue, and in violet grading to clear, each available on its own. It arrives assembled, figure and block in one crate, and one person can lift it by the block. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A smoke-black skirt clearing towards the flare gives it one of the moodier looks in our resin sculptures; the windswept, drawn figure belongs with our contemporary and modern sculptures, and there are more figures for a room among our indoor sculptures.

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
