Description

This upright panel gathers a hedgerow's worth of pressed botanicals on a deep black ground, all lying flat beneath a clear, glossy face. Fern fronds in dark green and old gold spread across the top, a spray of small lobed leaves climbs the right-hand side and feathery grass heads fan out at the bottom right. Near the middle sit two small ruffled blooms, one blush-cream and one deep pink, while a maple-shaped leaf and a skeleton leaf worn to white lace rest low on the left.

Ferns and Blooms Pressed on a Black Ground

Fibreglass and imported clear resin make up the panel. The black ground runs edge to edge behind the plants, so every frond and petal stands out sharply against it, and the clear face above them is polished to a deep gloss with neat, squared edges. Pressed thin and flat, each plant keeps its outline and its finest detail: the ladder of leaflets along a fern, the toothed margin of a leaf, the papery folds of the two blooms and the open mesh of the skeleton leaf. Together they make a multicoloured spread of greens, golds, creams and pinks.

Propped against the wall on a mantelpiece, a desk or a bookshelf, the panel has the look of a little painting in a black frame; laid face up on a side table instead, it invites a closer look from above. Lamplight in the evening warms the golds and pinks, while a pale wall behind it makes the black ground look deeper still. It sits comfortably among framed prints on a picture ledge too. Indoor use only.

One Panel, Bespoke Themes and Its Journey

Expect 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks where the commission is bespoke. The price is for a single panel, sold individually. As a commission the plants can follow a theme of your choosing, such as ferns alone, grasses and seed heads, or a handful of chosen flowers, and the ground can be made in another deep colour or left clear; other sizes are possible too. The panel is wrapped, padded at every corner and boxed for its journey, and it can be propped up and enjoyed as soon as it is unpacked. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
