This oval top is black and glazed clear, scattered across its whole face with small flowerheads in white, pink, violet, yellow and orange and with sprigs of green fern-like foliage. They are spread evenly, reaching close to the rim all round, and they sit beneath the glaze rather than on it, so the surface runs flat and unbroken from edge to edge.
The colour only works because the ground behind it is a dead flat black with no sheen of its own, so every pale flowerhead reads at full strength and nothing competes with it. The glaze above them is thick, which gives the flowers a visible depth below the top plane and stops them reading as a printed pattern, and it is level enough across the whole top that a glass set anywhere on the table stands square. Nothing stands proud of the surface and there is no rim around any bloom for a cloth to catch. Each top carries a different scatter, so the arrangement is not repeatable and no two tables match. Beneath the resin the structure is fibreglass.
It is a working coffee table, long enough to serve a three-seat sofa while leaving room to walk past. The drum column is set well in from the ends, which keeps the floor clear and lets it be approached across a rug. A dark scheme suits it, with the flowers doing the work that a cushion or a print would otherwise do, and it is at its best under a light that rakes across the surface rather than one directly above. Indoor use only.
Making a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks, and making a bespoke one 5–6. The scatter is the main decision on this table, and it changes the piece completely. Sparse reads as a dark table with a few incidents on it; close-covered reads as a field of colour with black between the blooms, and the two suit completely different rooms. Palette is narrowed to a single colour where the multi-colour mix is too busy, and white alone on the black is a calm choice. The ground itself is offered in black as here or in ivory, which lifts the whole piece and makes the foliage rather than the flowers the strongest note. The glaze is a poured surface and will mark under a hot base. The table ships in one crate with the top faced up and the column bolted on underneath after the top is turned, which takes two people because the top must not be rested on its face. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Built on fibreglass beneath its glaze, it sits in our fibreglass sculptures; a low table for a sofa, it belongs to our art furniture, and its flowerheads and fern sprigs to our organic sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
