An arched upright in black and white marbled resin, sized for a desk or a shelf. The rise, the arch and the flare of its three relations, brought down until the whole object can be taken in at one glance. Black and white marble through one another with a band of teal caught at the junction. A black marble block comes with it, the narrow foot standing at its centre.
At this size the argument changes once more, because the whole object is inside a hand's reach and the thinness of the wall is the first thing anybody notices. What changes at this size is the marbling, which has to be coarser: the same figure at this scale would read as flat grey, so the black is drawn in fewer and broader passages. Here the wall is thinner than anywhere else in the design, and that is the only reason the teal registers as a colour at all. Polished over the whole surface, and at this size every face is within reach of a hand.
A desk, a bookshelf or a bedside. This is the one in the design that suits a room rather than a hall. Keep what is behind it quiet, since the white in the body takes its tone from whatever is there. A lamp low and to one side lifts the teal; overhead light leaves it black and white alone. It reads as one shape across a room, and the teal is a reward for picking it up.
Time separates the two: a bespoke commission takes 5–6 weeks, a standard piece 3–4. The teal is run through the whole junction, the black is deepened, and a marble block replaces the black one. Run the teal further and the black is pulled back to make room, because the two share one junction. Six further colourways of this form are made, among them a body left almost clear with the ink banked at the foot alone. A single crate, block packed beneath, and nothing to assemble. One person, one hand under the foot. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
More arched forms marbled like this one, black into white with a band of teal, are found in our organic sculptures, with cast work in many colours across our resin sculptures and pieces of a similar scale in our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
