Along the face of this solid oak bench runs a row of rounded arches, and between them the timber hangs down in soft drips, as though the wood had been caught as it ran. The seat above is flat, with a low raised lip around its edge, and the whole piece is finished in a soft matte beige that holds the shadow inside each arch rather than reflecting it out.
The arch row is the whole design. The drips vary in length: the deepest run down to the floor and share the weight with the solid ends, while the short ones hang free, each finishing in a rounded tip rather than a point. The arches between them differ too, some wide and shallow, others tall and narrow, so the run never settles into a repeat. Solid oak suits a profile like this because it can be shaped to a soft, even curve along the whole length and holds a crisp edge at every tip. The beige is matte rather than satin, which keeps every arch reading as a shadow instead of a highlight. No two boards take a finish identically, so the depth of the beige shifts a little along the length.
A bench of this length needs a space that can hold it: an entrance hall, a gallery or showroom, a wide landing, a hotel or office reception, or a long run of wall in a dining room. It seats four or five and the arch row reads from a distance, so it works where people approach it down a length of floor rather than turn a corner onto it. The beige sits quietly with stone, lime plaster and unpolished brass. Indoor use only.
Figure the difference between standard and bespoke at 3–4 weeks against 5–6. No staircase in an ordinary house will turn a beam this long, and few first-floor landings will either, so before the bench is scheduled the route in is agreed with you: door widths, corridor lengths, headroom at every turn, and a clear line from the front door to its final place. If the route cannot take it whole, it is built in two sections that meet on a butt joint under the seat, with the joint placed between drips so the arch row runs on unbroken. It ships on a purpose-built pallet with the seat faced up and protected along its full length, and four people carry it, a hand under each end and two along the middle, because the drip tips are the first part of the piece to meet a doorframe. Alternative overall lengths are made to order, and the arch spacing is set out afresh to whatever length is chosen. Other timbers are offered, and the finish can be specified as a natural oiled oak where the grain is to be the main event. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Long enough for a gallery wall, this dripping oak bench joins our art furniture, keeps company with our indoor sculptures, and its melting arches echo our organic sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
