Description

Bright azure blue gathers in the narrow foot of this resin spiral and climbs from there along the ribs of its three fans, which wind upward round a single stem. The broadest fan sweeps out to one side into a wide, pointed wing whose scooped inner face holds a pool of the colour; behind it a second fan climbs to a rolled rim edged in azure, and a small curl at the summit is left almost colourless. It stands on a polished black marble base.

Azure Pooled at the Foot, Clear at the Curl

The colour in this spiral is not spread evenly. Azure is strongest where the form gathers, in its stem and the scooped wing, and from there it runs out along each rib, so the fans read as lines of blue drawn over clear resin rather than as a solid tint. The ribs change character from fan to fan: across the wing they sweep in parallel like combed water, while on the fan rising behind it they knot into a fine net. The curl that crowns it carries almost no colour at all, which gives the spiral a light, open finish above its saturated foot.

At 63cm overall it sits well on a broad desk or a long credenza, where someone sitting nearby looks straight into its fans. Window light from behind or to one side brightens the blue and throws the ribs into relief, and a wall of white or pale grey keeps the clear fans crisp. It belongs in a sitting room, a library or a calm reception, and because it looks resolved from every side it can stand well away from the wall. Indoor use only.

Azure Depth, the Black Block and Lifting

Expect 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks where the commission is bespoke. As a commission the azure can be deepened so that it reaches higher into the fans, or confined to the stem and the ribs, and the crowning curl can be given the same blue. For the base, white or grey stone is an alternative to the black marble, cut to the same plain polished block. Lifting is done with one hand flat beneath the marble and the other steadying the stem, never by the wing, whose pointed tip is the most delicate part of the piece. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
