An azure blue bowl throws up one colourless arm that climbs, turns back on itself and stops above the water it came out of, ending in a long, slender spike. A broad sweep of water rises from one side of the bowl to carry the arm, and on the other side a long spray reaches out low and splits into fingers. The blue is strongest in the bowl and is gone before the arm leaves it, and the rim beneath is torn into long fingers at uneven heights.
Almost every splash throws a line outward and lets the eye leave along it. This one brings the eye back. The arm rises, turns through more than a half circle and finishes above the bowl it started from, which is a closed gesture and a harder one to make convincing: stop the turn short and it reads as an arm that failed to reach anywhere, carry it too far and it becomes a handle. What settles it is where the tip sits relative to the rim, inside it and over the water rather than over the far edge, and that position is fixed before the turn is drawn.
The return only reads from the front, and from the side the arm closes onto the bowl and the piece becomes a single mass. So it wants to be set square to the room rather than angled into a corner. At 65cm it is best met at chest height, on a console or a deep shelf, where the turn of the arm is seen level; a low table looked down on loses the gesture entirely. It needs little depth, and a pale wall behind it lets the clear arm read against the blue of the bowl.
Production takes approximately 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The arm turns back and finishes over its own bowl, so the piece closes rather than reaching away. On commission the blue can be deepened or softened, or the bowl tinted another colour altogether, and how far the arm reaches is settled at order. The tint can stay in the bowl or be carried up into the arm, which changes the piece more than the colour choice does. It ships in a single braced case, the arm sleeved along its whole turn and every finger of the rim faced, and the bowl is what it is lifted by. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
An azure bowl throwing up a clear arm that turns back over its own water belongs to our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
