Description

A monumental relief panel carved with an archangel in mid-descent, sword raised, a chained figure beneath. Cloud and rock forms fill the ground behind, and the natural grey veining of the marble runs through the sky.

An Archangel Relief Sculpture in Graduated Depth

The panel is carved from a single marble slab in graduated depth, with the wings and torso cut almost free of the ground while the clouds behind are held to a few millimetres. The veining is the stone's own and cannot be specified, so the sky pattern is different on every panel.

A panel at this scale is an architectural fitting rather than a picture. It suits a double-height hall, a stairwell, a chapel or a large reception wall, and needs a structural fixing into masonry. It sits close to the wall on a concealed ledge, and marble is durable enough for a covered courtyard as well as an interior.

Fixing Five Tonnes of Marble to a Wall

Allow eight weeks for a panel of this depth, longer if you want the figures cut further proud of the ground. The panel is 350cm as carved; send us the wall and we will scale the setting-out to it. The veining is the block's own and cannot be specified, though we will photograph the slab before carving begins. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops. Five tonnes of marble needs a structural fixing into masonry or a steel subframe, and we supply the setting-out drawing for your builder.

Production Time

Every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of destination.

  • Sculptures under 50cm — shipped by air freight. Typical delivery 1–2 weeks after production is complete.
  • Sculptures 50cm and above — shipped by sea freight. Typical delivery 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

For larger sculptures where faster delivery is needed, air freight is available at additional cost — contact us before ordering for a quote.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

30-Day Returns

We accept 30-day returns on sculptures in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

To start a return, contact us within 30 days of receipt. Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is at the customer's cost.

Bespoke and custom-commissioned pieces are non-refundable once production has started, as they are made specifically to your specification.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
