The Aqua Spiked Fanned Shell Resin Sculpture spreads wide for its height, rising from a black marble base included with it. The form fans open from a narrow foot into a broad shell whose upper rim breaks into short spikes, and it leans and sweeps to one side rather than standing square, with four openings through the bottom half.
The lean is deliberate and it is what stops the fan reading as a symmetrical scallop. The whole form tips away from the vertical, so the rim on one side is much higher than the other and the openings sit off the centre line, which gives the piece a strong reading from the front and almost nothing from the back. The spikes on the rim are all different lengths and they are the thinnest material on the sculpture. The surface is worked into ridges that radiate from the foot up to the rim, following the fan.
At 63cm overall and broad for its height, it suits a sideboard, a wide console or a low bookcase top better than a shelf. It should be positioned with the sweep facing into the room and the low side towards the wall. Being wide and pierced it reads well against a window, and it carries from across a room rather than only at close range. Indoor use only.
Delivery follows a 3–4 week build as standard, or a 5–6 week build if bespoke. This form is made in four finishes and they are genuinely different objects. A saturated aqua reads as one solid colour with light coming through the openings. A colourless version with gold flecks reads as glass, and the flecks pick up warm light. The multicoloured version carries blue, green, yellow and amber across the same piece, with the colours meeting in soft bands rather than at lines, and it is the one to choose where the sculpture has to be the only strong thing in a room. A smoke black version flecked with gold turns the fan into a dark silhouette, and a single colour can be cast in any tint from the studio range. A pale stone base is made, which suits a piece this wide on a dark sideboard. On handling: the rim spikes are numerous and fine, and they are the first thing to meet anything, so the piece travels bedded in foam and the base is boxed apart from it, and it is lifted by the solid body beneath the rim and never by the rim itself. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A spiked fan swept to one side belongs with our abstract sculptures; ridges radiating from a narrow foot to the rim join it to our organic sculptures, and saturated aqua through a pierced casting suits our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
