Aqua Ribbed Twin Wing Fan Resin Sculpture, 82cm, with ribbed aqua-to-clear wings on a black rectangular base, shown against a plain white background.
Aqua Ribbed Twin Wing Fan Resin Sculpture - 82cm $2,09300
Description

From a small cup on a short stem, this fan spreads into two ribbed wings of bright aqua. The first stretches out long and nearly level, thinning to a fine, clear edge; the second sweeps up in a high arc and curls over at its tip. Raised ribs follow both wings like the pleats of a paper fan, and the rim of the cup is torn and wavy, lifting to a small peak in the middle. The colour is a light, clean turquoise blue throughout, pooling a little deeper in the folds of the cup. A black marble block sits underneath.

Bright Aqua Pleats Lifting From a Small Cup

Aqua this light depends on the ribs for its depth. Near the cup, where they converge, the colour reads strongest, a clear turquoise with one or two deeper folds at the stem, and along the wings every ridge carries a bright highlight with a shaded channel beside it, so the pale blue is broken into stripes of light and tone. The wings are set at different angles, one out and one up, which turns the fan into a movement rather than an ornament, and the torn rim of the cup, with its small central peak, ties the two together at the root of the gesture. Every surface is polished glossy.

Light from behind or from one side picks out every rib, so it does well near a window on a long sideboard or a low cabinet. Its level wing needs clear space along the surface, while the raised one wants headroom, so keep it out from under a shelf. Against a white wall the aqua looks fresh and cool; beside natural timber it warms a little. Square to the room it opens like a fan, and from the end it closes into a single upright sweep.

Aqua Tone, Wing Reach and Delivery

Making a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks, and making a bespoke one 5–6. One fan with its black marble block is supplied for the price, sold individually. On commission the aqua can be deepened at the cup or kept this light throughout, the level wing extended or the raised one lifted further, and the ribs set closer together or further apart. It is crated with each wing cushioned on its own and the block packed separately, and the fan is set down on the block where it will stand. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Bright aqua pleats opening from one small cup into a level wing and a raised one lead to our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
