Aqua Molten Form Cast Resin Armchair - 74cm
Aqua Molten Form Cast Resin Armchair - 74cm $4,04700
Description

Aqua blue resin shapes this armchair, clear enough to see into and strongest in colour where it pools. A rounded hoop sweeps round to form both back and arms, with short drips hanging beneath it and a single stem dropping from its crown to the back of the seat. The seat spreads like a leaf with a serrated rim and a point that falls over the front. Its four legs are lumpy and irregular, more like icicles than anything turned.

An Aqua Hoop Hung With Rounded Drips

Aqua suits this chair because it reads like water caught as it freezes. Thin parts such as the drip tips and the outer edge of the seat are a pale, almost glassy blue, while the joints, where the material is massed, turn a strong turquoise. The seat's face is worked into a fine net of ridges like the veins of a leaf, and its rim breaks into small points. Highlights run along the hoop and down each leg, so the whole chair glitters under a lamp.

At 74cm it works at a writing desk or round a small table for meals, and it is just as good set alone where both the front and the sides can be seen. The blue looks fresh against white, sand and pale oak, and cooler still beside steel or glass. A thin cushion helps on the textured seat for longer use. Give it space and a plain wall so the drips stand out. Indoor use only.

Blue or Teal, the Leaf and the Drips

Set aside 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The aqua can be lightened to a sky blue, deepened to teal, or replaced with a tint of your choosing. The veining on the seat can stay crisp or be softened, and the leaf's point can be kept or trimmed level with the front. Drips can be lengthened or kept short. Seat height and width are agreed when you order. A set is cast together so the blue matches. It is crated in one piece with the drips protected. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

An aqua chair that seems to drip as it stands fits our art furniture; its fluid, uneven form belongs among our organic sculptures, and its sea-blue body among our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
