This low table is one very wide, shallow dish of translucent aqua resin, smooth inside, its rim rising and falling in a slow, even undulation all the way round instead of running level like a tray. The colour is in the material and reads palest where the dish thins at its centre.
The undulation is modelled into both mould faces, so the rim rises and falls through the material rather than being cut from a level edge, and its high and low points are set out before anything is poured. The interior is worked to a true dish and polished to a gloss, which is the slow part at this diameter: a dish that flattens off-centre reads at once when anything is set down in it. The aqua is in the material, so the colour thins with the section and the centre of the dish is the palest part of the piece. The underside is polished to the same grade, since a translucent table this low is looked across rather than down into.
Sofas and chairs can be drawn up on every side of it, since a dish with no straight edge has no front. It is very large in plan for its height, so the run of floor around it matters more than the wall behind it, and it will not pass through a standard doorway upright. A plain floor reads up through the aqua better than a pattern would.
From order, a standard piece runs to 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission to 5–6. Every order settles three points. The rim undulation is drawn to order, the dish depth is open, and the aqua is offered in another tint or left out for a colourless pool. The dish is cast in one piece and is not made in sections, so the diameter is the figure that decides whether it can be brought in. Tell us the rim diameter and the dish depth. Where two or more are wanted, the run of the rim waves is held the same across the group. Crated with the wavy rim and the dished face protected, it is a four-person lift. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
One wide aqua dish with a rising and falling rim belongs with our organic sculptures; ringed by sofas and chairs it joins our art furniture, its tinted body our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
