Aqua Curl Wave with Gold Sphere Resin Sculpture, 240cm, curling clear-to-aqua resin wave with gold ribbed sphere on a black marble base, plain background.
Aqua Curl Wave with Gold Sphere Resin Sculpture - 240cm $16,81600
Description

A wave of clear resin that curls round almost into a circle, aqua along the foot of its curve and clearing to colourless as it sweeps up and over the top, where a small crest hooks back inward and a long, slender tail reaches out beyond the opening. A ribbed sphere in a mirror-bright, gold-toned finish rests low in the curve, and the whole piece stands on a long black marble base, which comes with it.

A Curling Wave Around a Gold Sphere

The sphere is the still point the whole wave turns about, and the contrast is deliberate: gold-toned, ribbed and opaque against water that is clear, smooth and moving. The curl is drawn as one continuous band that thins towards its crest, so it seems to accelerate as it comes over, and the sphere sits low in the opening so the circle never looks mechanical. The long black marble base, veined in white, is wider than the wave and gives it a stage of its own.

Its base is long, so it wants a wide position: along a wall in a hall or a reception, in front of a window in a large living room, or as the centre of a lobby. Light from above makes the gold sphere glint and the aqua glow. A plain background keeps the circle legible. It is best approached from the front, where the curl frames the sphere.

Wave Colour, the Sphere and the Base

Production takes approximately 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The wave can be tinted blue, green or amber, or cast clear, the sphere can be given a silver-toned, copper-toned or white finish, and the base can be black or white marble. A silver-toned sphere in a clear wave reads cool, where gold in aqua reads warm. The piece is packed in a long crate with its base, and the wave is carried by its foot alone, with hands kept off the tail and the crest. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A clear wave curling round a ribbed, gold-toned sphere above black marble settles in among our organic sculptures, our contemporary and modern sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
