A deep, open cradle of resin, combed on the outside, that rises at both ends into torn crests: one curls over into a hooked point like a beak, and the other breaks into a run of points, with the front rim beneath it torn as well. Aqua and teal hold the outer wall, yellow fills the inside of the far wall and climbs into both crests, warming toward amber at the hooked tip, and the floor of the hollow clears to a pale, milky cream. A long black marble block comes with it and runs the full width of the cradle.
Combing on a wall this deep stops being rhythm and becomes structure: it is what keeps a curve this open from reading as thin. The piece treats its two faces as different problems. Outside, the wall is cut in close grooves that catch the light in lines, and the aqua and teal run through them; inside, the floor of the hollow is left smooth and glossy, a pale, still pool beneath the yellow of the far wall. The crests are where the two faces meet, and both are left torn rather than turned true.
A dining sideboard suits the scale, with room to see into the hollow from standing. Keep the ground behind it plain, because the aqua and the yellow are already two colours. Light down into the hollow is what makes the yellow happen; without it the aqua takes over. From across the room the yellow crests and the aqua wall read as two bands of colour, and the combing only shows close to.
Every standard piece is made in 3–4 weeks, and every bespoke commission in 5–6. The aqua is carried into the hollow, the combing is left off the outer wall, and the block is made at other lengths. Carry the aqua inward and the yellow becomes a band, so the two colours are decided at once. Cradle and block travel apart, and the cradle is lifted by its belly with a hand under each end, never by either torn crest. The crests are also torn deeper on request, or kept low against the same hollow. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A deep cradle combed in aqua outside, yellow within and torn at both crests settles in with our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
